Why Shopify product pages aren't appearing in Google
If a product does not appear for its own name, start in Search Console URL Inspection — not by installing three more SEO apps. Most misses are indexing, not “keyword density.”
Confirm the URL Google sees
Inspect the exact product URL. “URL is not on Google” plus a noindex or robots blocked is a store/theme setting. “Crawled — currently not indexed” often means thin or duplicate content, or a brand-new domain with almost no demand yet.
Common Shopify causes
Online Store password still on. Markets/domains splitting URLs. Apps injecting noindex. Canonical pointing at a collection. Product created yesterday on a domain with 27 impressions in three months — Google is slow when the whole site has no query history.
- •GSC → Pages → why URLs are excluded
- •View source: robots meta, canonical
- •Sitemap: is this handle listed?
- •Is the product available and not draft?
When the page is indexed but nobody searches
Indexed is not the same as ranking. A new Shopify developer site or a store with generic titles (“Product 12”) will show almost no impressions. Unique titles, images, and a few useful articles give Google something to match.
Use Seoi, or send the store for a check
Seoi can ping IndexNow and clean up titles, ALT, and images once the URL is allowed to be indexed. If Inspection shows noindex or not found, fix that first — then use the app.
