Shopify Speed Optimization
Slow Shopify stores are usually images, extra apps, and theme JavaScript — not “buy a new theme.” I measure the product and collection templates, then cut what actually blocks LCP and INP.
Merchants seeing a heavy homepage, 3–8 second product pages, or Search Console CWV warnings. Usually replies within 2–6 hours.
What you get
- ✓Image size and format (without wrecking quality)
- ✓Theme app extensions and unused scripts
- ✓Lazy-load, font, and LCP image fixes
- ✓App audit: what to keep, remove, or replace
- ✓Seoi compress + image SEO if catalog photos are the bottleneck
How it works
- 1.Measure. Homepage, collection, and a typical product URL on mobile. We agree which template matters first.
- 2.Cut weight. Images, apps, and theme JS — in that order unless your profile is different.
- 3.Recheck. You get before/after notes. Catalog image work can continue in Seoi so new products stay light.
Questions
- Will you rewrite the whole theme?
- Only if the theme is the bottleneck. Most stores gain more from images and app cleanup than a rebuild.
- Does compressing images hurt SEO?
- Not if dimensions and ALT text stay correct. Heavy uncompressed PNGs hurt both speed and crawl. See the image guides.
